How to choose rc drones

Almost every drone bought as a first drone is crashed in the first ten minutes, so buy the one that survives it: full propeller guards, a plastic frame rather than a rigid composite one, and altitude hold, which keeps the machine at a steady height while a beginner learns the sticks. Flight time is short across the whole category — six to nine minutes per pack is normal, and anything claiming twenty is measuring something other than flying. A second battery roughly doubles the useful life of the afternoon and costs far less than a second drone. Fly indoors first, in a room with the fan off. Note that Pakistan regulates drone use in some areas; the toy-class machines here are the small indoor kind, and we do not stock camera drones.

Questions

RC Drones questions parents ask

How long does one flight last?

Six to nine minutes on a charge for the toy-class drones we stock, with a charge time of 40 to 70 minutes. A spare battery is the single most useful accessory.

Do these have cameras?

No. Everything in this subcategory is a camera-free toy drone or glider, which keeps it simple to fly and avoids the permissions a camera drone involves.

What happens when it crashes?

The propeller guards take the impact and the propellers pop off rather than snapping. Spare propeller sets are inexpensive and we stock them for the models we sell.
